Hip Hip Hooray!
Yoga for Hips with Misako Matsuoka
The hip joint is one of most moveable joints of the body, yet stress and activity of everyday life is often found lodged in the tightness and discomfort of our hips. Many strong athletes as well are limited in their hip range of motion which can reduce athletic performance. In this workshop we will work on stabilizing and increasing mobility of the hips. Practice starts with a heat building, hip & thigh opening flow practice sequence, then moves into a series of hip openers where you will spend time breaking down and exploring the postures deeper. For some, you will be ready to try Padmasana (Lotus Posture).
